Mid-County Wins Opening Game of New Co-op, Coach Buck
Notches Career Win Number 100: Mid-County jumped out to a
26-6 half-time on their way to a 26-14 win Friday night in Oneida,
and in doing so earned Head Coach Tom Buck his 100th career
victory.
All facets of the team put points on the board with the offense,
defense, and special teams registering scores. Matt Shepherd
opened the scoring for the Cougars in the first half with a punt
return for touchdown. Later, tight end Coleton Kelly snared a
pass from QB Kenny Fogerty, Fogerty also rushed for a score,
and safety Tyler Johnson scored a defensive TD after scooping
up a Princeville fumble.
The Cougar defense proved to be tough as nails, keeping the
Princes under control throughout the game, thwarting the
Princeville running game and controlling their passing attack.
