Entering his fourth year at the helm of the GHS
program, Coach Schmulbach enters this season
with a new co-op partner in Williamsfield and
hopes of a turn around from last season. Coach
Schmulbach is also the head girls track coach at
GHS. He and his wife Kathy reside in Galva.

Clay Haurberg
Head Fresh-Soph Coach, Running
Backs, Linebackers
High School: Walnut
College: Illinois College
Now in his fifth year with the football team, Coach
Haurberg will again lead the F/S team this
season, as well as handling the linebackers and
running backs. Coach Haurberg's is also the
GHS head varsity boys basketball coach. He
resides in Galva with his wife, Megan, and
children, Austin and Abby.

Wes Eckstedt
Junior High Head Coach, HS Assistant
High School: ROWVA
College: Knox
In his first season with the team, Coach Eckstedt
will be at the helm of the jubior high program, in
addition to helping out with the high school
team. Coach Eckstedt will also coach the junior
high boys track team this spring. He resides in
Altona.
